ADHD Evaluations
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder affects far more than attention. It can impact emotional regulation, motivation, organization, relationships, self-esteem, and overall daily functioning across the lifespan.
At Mindful Minds Psychiatry, our ADHD evaluations are comprehensive and individualized. We assess attention, impulsivity, executive functioning, emotional regulation, developmental history, academic or occupational performance, sleep quality, stress levels, and co-occurring conditions such as anxiety or depression. Medical contributors are also carefully considered.
Following diagnosis, we provide clear education so patients and families understand how ADHD presents and why symptoms occur.
Treatment is tailored to each individual and may include FDA-approved medications, evidence-based off-label options when appropriate, behavioral strategies, and skill building supports.
We also emphasize foundational support, such as consistent sleep, nutrition, structured routines, therapy, and environmental organization. When indicated, lab work or medical referrals are used to rule out contributing conditions.
Our focus is long-term success, confidence, and meaningful, sustainable functioning.
Childhood Emotional Disorders
Children and adolescents often express emotional distress differently than adults. Anxiety, mood challenges, trauma, and neurodevelopmental differences may present as irritability, withdrawal, behavioral outbursts, or difficulties at school.
At Mindful Minds Psychiatry, we approach child and adolescent care with a strong developmental lens and deep compassion. Our evaluations consider emotional and developmental stages, family dynamics, school environment, medical history, and life experiences.
Treatment is individualized and may include psychiatric medication when clinically appropriate, along with education and support for caregivers. We strongly recommend therapy as part of comprehensive care.
We also guide families in building supportive routines and environments, focusing on sleep, nutrition, structure, emotional communication, and positive reinforcement to promote long-terms growth and stability.
Mood Disorders
Mood and psychiatric disorders impact emotional regulation, thought patterns, energy levels, sleep, relationships, and overall quality of life. Accurate diagnosis is critical, as treatment approaches vary significantly across conditions.
At Mindful Minds Psychiatry, we conduct comprehensive evaluations that assess symptom patterns, severity, duration, triggers, medical and family history, and co-occurring conditions. This allows us to develop a clear and precise diagnosis.
Treatment is highly individualized and may include FDA-approved medications, evidence based off-label options, or thoughtfully selected combinations when clinically appropriate. We strongly encourage therapy was part of a well-rounded approach to care, along with attention to sleep, nutrition, stress management, physical health, and social support.

Sleep Disorders
Sleep is a foundational pillar of mental health. Disruptions in sleep can significantly impact anxiety, depression, ADHD symptoms, emotional regulation, and cognitive functioning.
At Mindful Minds Psychiatry, we conduct comprehensive assessments of sleep patterns, routines, environmental influences, medication effects, stress levels, and potential underlying medical contributors.
Treatment is individualized and may include patient education, evidence-based behavioral strategies, lifestyle modifications, and medication when clinical appropriate. When needed, we coordinate referrals for further medical evaluation, including sleep studies, or specialty care.
Substance Use Disorders
Substance use disorders are complex conditions that are often interconnected with trauma, mood disorders, and chronic stress. At Mindful Minds Psychiatry, we provide compassionate, nonjudgmental, and evidence-based care.
We conduct comprehensive evaluations to understand each patient's unique history, patterns of use, co-occurring conditions, and readiness for change.
Treatment is individualized and may include medication-assisted treatment (MAT), psychiatric medication management, and coordinator of care with therapists or higher level of care when clinical indicated.
We also emphasize education, harm reduction, relapse prevention, and lifestyle stabilization as essential components of long-term recovery and overall mental wellness.
