Hi, I'm Emilie!

I was originally born in Virginia, but my upbringing was shaped by constant movement and diverse experiences as the daughter of two military parents. Eventually, my family settled in Colorado, which became home before I left to pursue my education. My passion for medicine began early in life while traveling internationally with my mother on surgical mission trips to the Philippines. Those experiences exposed me to the impact of compassionate, hands-on care and sparked my desire to pursue a career in healthcare.

I earned my Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology, with a focus on Law and Society, and Psychology from Purdue University, along with minors in Forensics and Organizational Leadership, graduating in 2016. After graduation, I spent two years working with The Walt Disney Company, where I developed a strong foundation in communication, service, and connection, skills that continue to shape my approach to patient care.

I went on to complete my Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Colorado State University–Pueblo in 2020, while also working as a Student Nurse Extern at Parkview Medical Center. After graduation, I transitioned into a full-time role as a Registered Nurse on the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, where I gained valuable experience caring for patients with complex medical and neurological needs.

In the fall of 2020, I began my BSN-to-DNP Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Colorado State University–Pueblo and graduated in 2025. As a PMHNP, I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals across the lifespan. I have a strong passion for working with Veterans and supporting those struggling with substance use, with a focus on helping each patient feel understood, supported, and empowered in their healing journey.

Fun Fact

In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending quality time with friends, and traveling with my husband. I’m also a big Disney fan and love any excuse to plan a trip, usually convincing my husband to come along for the adventure.
