We provide a variety of mental health services, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management with brief psychotherapy, and treatment for conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, schizophrenia, substance use, and more. We do NOT provider therapy alone. We can refer to counseling, but DO NOT provider therapy alone.
You can schedule an appointment by doing the following:
Calling our office
Clicking on the first page (book online or set an appointment)
Clicking on services and Book online
This will take you to our booking site where you will find locations and the providers in the location and you will get to choose the appointment you need (whether child intake or adult intake)
Yes, we accept most major insurance plans, including Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Medicare, Medicaid, CHP+, Optum, United, Tricare Prime and West, CompPsych, CCHA, Humana, and more. But it is best to contact our office so that we can verify your insurance and surely tell you whether we are in network with that specific insurance or not.
Please bring your ID, insurance card, any relevant medical records, and a list of current medications. If you’ve had previous mental health treatment, bringing that documentation can help us better understand your history.
During your first visit, you will meet with your psychiatric nurse practitioner for a comprehensive evaluation. They will ask about your medical and psychiatric history, current symptoms, and any treatment goals you may have. This information helps us create a tailored treatment plan.
Initial psychiatric evaluations typically last between 45 minutes to 1 hour but sometimes can be longer depending on the need. Follow-up medication management appointments usually last around 30-45 minutes, sometimes they can be 60 minutes if you and your provider are going over a thorough plan that you had discussed prior.
Yes, we offer telepsychiatry and do offer our brief therapy as well during your telepsychiatry appointment. Those sessions are conducted via a secure video conferencing platform.
We treat patients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. We specialize in providing age-appropriate care tailored to each individual’s needs. Each provider sees a variety of patients but some do see a specialized age only. Please see the Work Family Section for information on all providers or call or text us to find out more.
We ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made within less than 24 hours will incur a fee. This is in our disclosure policy under Resources/Instructions and Forms.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 911 or 988 or go to your nearest emergency room. For non-urgent matters, you can contact our office at 720-458-5413 during business hours. We are unable to offer after hours currently.
Yes, our psychiatric providers are licensed to prescribe psychiatric medications as part of your treatment plan. Medication management is a key component of our services, and we will work closely with you to find the most effective treatment.
In most cases, you do not need a referral to schedule an appointment with us. However, some insurance plans like Tricare may require a referral from your primary care provider. Please check with your insurance company or contact us for assistance.
We value your feedback! You will be reached out by our Patient Care Coordinators via text to fill out a Google Review form to share your experiences with your provider and the rest of our team.
We are located in Parker, Denver, Colorado Springs, Boulder, and Westminster. See our Work Family to see which provider is currently located.
We try to maintain a good flow of visits so that we can offer same day appointments. Some of our providers may have same day appointments depending on how booked they are, but most times, same week appointments are able to be offered.
We do provide a thorough explanation in each visit to ensure you have the best education on what you are taking and why you are taking it.
We do not currently have any counselors in the office, but do offer therapy referrals from a well-known database we have constructed over the years.
Yes. All our providers make it a point to obtain a release of records from their patients so that they can make time to coordinate care with other proivdes to ensure care is all around for the patient.
This will depend on the individual. Sometimes people need medications for a short period of time (several months) other times medications are needed longer term (more than 1 year). We tend to look at medications as a tool. You have many tools in your toolbox. Some of them are deep breathing, meditation, relaxation, Yoga, exercise, and we add medications as a tool as well. Medications help YOU use your other tools better. They help you become more motivated, maybe less anxious about using all those other tools. Once you have become more consistent using those tools, then it is your cue and your provider, to begin the discussion of reducing and eventually stopping your medications so that you can continue to use all non-pharmacological tools.
We do not offer crisis intervention but do offer urgent same day appointments for ESTABLISHED patients only.
YES. All patients need to be part of the appointment, including the MINOR patient.
YES. Your child, being the patient, must be part of the appointment and present for such.
YES, your psychiatric provider will request that you implement other lifestyle modifications such as reevaluating your nutrition, your sleep habits, the people you surround yourself with as some can be stressful and negative, the use of alcohol and other drugs which can have a negative impact on your physical and mental health. Your provider will educate you on the changes you must make to ensure you see actual changes.
All of our providers are highly educated on the above and always try their best to practice sensitivity around these subjects.
All of our locations have phone lines and also visit times. All our phone lines activate at 8:00 AM and stop at 4:45PM which is when our PCCs go home. However, the Denver location is the ONLY location is the only one that sees patients till 5:30PM. This is where Katherine is located.
We do on a case-by-case basis. This will need to be approved by our administrative director. It is best to bring this up to the PCC when you call and ask for an evaluation of your case.
Medication refills need to be request through the patient portal. This goes straight to your psychiatric provider, and they will have 3 working days to fulfil this request. So, we request from patients that a medication refill is placed with plenty of notice to ensure you do not run out of your medications.
If you miss an appointment, you will be reached out to by our PCC via phone. They will call you, leave a voicemail and also text you. They will let you know that you will need to fill out our No-Show policy. You cannot reschedule your visit until this policy is understood and signed. Once done, they will be able to assist you with rescheduling. This may also mean that you will run out of your medications sooner since you missed your appointment. If your medication bottle says you have a refill left, call the pharmacy. Do not contact us. The pharmacy can fulfil this refill without approval from your provider. However, if your medication bottle does not have refill, request a refill through your portal and your provider will bridge your medication until your next appointment.
A bridge of medication is just a short refill that will last until your next appointment only since you missed your appointment.
You will be sent an email invite to your portal. You will then click on the invite link to activate your portal. You will access your intake forms. These are consent forms along with your health and history intake form for your appointment and your rating scales or your child if this is a child intake visit. We know this process can be quite long and time consuming. We have tried to compile all forms as much as we can so that you don’t have many forms to fill out. However, we must ensure you understood all forms and policies that are in your best interest and that of the practice and providers. Your/your child health and history form are VITAL for your provider to see. This allows the provider to get to know you better and understand you thoroughly.
Your rating scales are also important as this can be a point of talk and understanding of your symptoms and diagnosis.
Yes. All changes require an evaluation. Without a proper evaluation, it is not safe for a provider to recommend any changes without knowing all the factors that may have lead to feeling like the medication or the dose are not a good fit. This cannot be done through the patient portal, via text or a quick phone call.
