ABOUT

Hello! My name is Krystal. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered, and evidenced-based care to children, adolescents, and adults. I am comfortable working with a variety of mental health diagnoses including anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and trauma-related disorders. As your provider, we will work together to create a holistic and personalized treatment plan. This means that your plan will address all components of health including mind, body, and spirit through lifestyle modifications, non-medication interventions and medications, if necessary. I value open communication, trust, and collaboration while utilizing a variety of techniques pulled from motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and sensory-based interventions. I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment for all individuals, regardless of their background, identity, or life experience. 

I have been a registered nurse for over 5 years and have worked with both adults and children in both medical and psychiatric settings. My passion for mental health started in college where I received a neurobiology degree prior to my nursing degree and was greatly involved with student mental health organizations; these experiences really opened my eyes to the growing need for psychiatric care and psychiatric providers, especially for children, adolescents, and young adults. I am incredibly excited to be a part of your healing journey!

FUN FACT

I was born and raised in Wisconsin (Go Badgers!) and moved to Colorado a few years ago. In my free time, I really enjoy traveling, hiking, and exploring our National Parks with my fiancé and my rescue pup!
